The Social Justice Committee wants to brings speakers of interest to our synagogue community that highlight human rights, constitutional rights, hunger and as well as other topics of national and local concern. We bring presentations about communities who need our attention and help to better the world in which we live, to promote Tikkun Olam, including renowned speakers about social justice with a Jewish perspective to share and discuss important issues. Programs feature individuals and organizations which work on behalf of people or issues needing our attention and concern.
Recent programs include Abby Leibman, the CEO of MAZON, A Jewish Response to Hunger; a panel discussion with Professor Michael Helfand and Ari Beth Berman covering Religious Freedom in the Courts.
