Adat Shalom Gala and Installation 2024

Adat Shalom celebrated the installation of Rabbi Miriam Potok as Senior Rabbi at the annual Gala Community Celebration and Dinner on Sunday, June 9th, 2024.
 
Rabbi Potok was installed as senior rabbi at Adat Shalom after years of service to the community as a Torah reader, religious school teacher, rabbinic intern, and scholar-in-residence. Rabbi Potok studied at American Jewish University and the Academy for Jewish Religion and received ordination from the Ziegler School for Rabbinic Studies.
 
The installation ceremony was led by Rabbi Cheryl Peretz, Associate Dean of the Ziegler School, with participation from the community. Also being honored at the Gala for their service to the Adat Shalom community were longtime members Diane and Lew Sternfels z’l, Natalie Stanger, Karen Michelle Halazi and Sharon Atlas Stein.
 
The evening began with cocktails, followed by the installation ceremony. The evening then continued with live music and a celebratory dinner and dessert in the Social Hall.
